Remember, section B always asks you about a particular THEME or ASPECT of the text. Below is a list of POSSIBLE things that could come up, but this is not a COMPLETE list, so be prepared for other things to come up.
SETTING
TIME/CONTEXT
CHARACTERS
LOVE
CONFLICT
RELATIONSHIPS
PROTAGONISTS
ANTAGONISTS
SPEECH
CLIMAXES/ANTICLIMAXES
EMOTIONS
VIEWPOINTS/PERSPECTIVES
IMAGERY
MINOR CHARACTERS
That kind of thing. What you basically need are about 8-9 KEY PARTS of the novel (and poems of course!) that you know you can easily find.
By doing this, you can spend a few minutes planning which sections you are going to use before you start writing. Remember, Kite Runner only applies to a third of an essay, so you only need around 4 paragraph's worth of stuff. It's a big novel, but if you have 8-9 SIGNPOSTS, you'll navigate your way around easy enough.
I'll point you in the direction of some key points over the next couple of posts (it may take a while, so be patient)
